By placing an order, scheduling a pickup, or using this website, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms of Service and all related policies.
1. Scope of Products
We sell:

Live animals (including but not limited to jumping spiders, feeder insects, isopods, springtails, and clean-up crew)

Live plants
-
Non-live goods (including enclosures, décor, tools, substrates, kits, and accessories)
-
Custom and made-to-order items
Where policies differ by product type, the most specific policy applies.
2. Buyer Responsibility
By purchasing, you confirm that:

You are legally permitted to own the items ordered

You understand proper care, housing, and environmental requirements

You have reviewed all shipping, temperature, and policy requirements

You accept full responsibility for compliance with all applicable laws
3. Legal Compliance & Restricted States
Buyers are solely responsible for complying with all federal, state, and local laws regarding:

Live animals and invertebrates

Soil, substrate, and natural materials
-
Plants and organic materials
Certain items may be restricted in states such as California, Florida, and Hawaii.
Orders placed in violation of any law are not eligible for refund, replacement, or credit.
We are not responsible for confiscation, inspection, delays, or destruction due to legal or regulatory issues.
4. Product Variation & Disclosures
4.1 Live Animals
Live animals vary naturally in color, size, pattern, temperament, and behavior. Traits may change with age, molt cycles, and environment.
We do not guarantee feeding response, temperament, activity level, or behavior.
4.2 Sexing of Jumping Spiders
Sex is listed as male, female, suspected, or unsexed based on best assessment at time of listing. Juveniles cannot always be accurately sexed and are not guaranteed unless stated.
4.3 Live Plants
Plants may experience cosmetic changes during shipping or acclimation. Minor imperfections are normal and not grounds for refund.
4.4 Enclosures & Supplies
Handmade and 3D printed items may show minor cosmetic variation. These are not considered defects.
4.5 Feeder Insects
Feeder insects are live, perishable feeders—not pets.

4.6 Bioactive Materials, Soil, and Invertebrate Compliance
We offer substrates, botanicals, isopods, springtails, and natural materials intended for contained enclosure use.
These materials may be subject to regulation, including permits such as the USDA APHIS PPQ 526, depending on species and location.
By purchasing, you agree:

You are responsible for all legal compliance

Materials are for indoor, contained use only

Products are not sterile and may contain natural microorganisms
We are not responsible for:

Mold, microbial activity, or natural biological processes

Organisms introduced or developed after setup

Regulatory action, confiscation, or permit requirements
These characteristics are not considered defects.
5. Order Accuracy & Abandoned Orders
Buyers are responsible for accurate shipping and contact information.
Orders delayed, lost, or returned due to incorrect information or failure to receive are not eligible for refund.
Orders not completed or responded to within 14 days may be canceled without refund.
6. Order Changes & Cancellations
Cancellations are not guaranteed.
Approved cancellations for non-live items may be subject to:

50% relisting fee

Loss of shipping costs and fees
No cancellations once fulfillment or production has begun.
7. Local Pickup (Westland, Michigan)

Pickup by appointment only

Live Arrival Guarantee does not apply

Responsibility transfers at pickup
Missed appointments may result in cancellation without refund.
8. Shipping Policies
8.1 General Shipping
Shipping timelines are not guaranteed and depend on safe conditions.
Shipment timing is determined solely by Weird is Beautiful and may be adjusted without notice for animal safety.
8.2 Carrier Method & Delivery Type
Shipping options vary by service level.
By purchasing, you acknowledge:

Not all shipping options support reliable home delivery

Delivery method may be adjusted to FedEx Hold for Pickup

This is based on carrier limitations, not weather
These adjustments are not grounds for refund or dispute.
8.3 Split Shipments
Orders containing mixed items may ship separately.

Shipping costs are not reduced due to split shipments
8.4 Feeder Insect Shipping
Feeder insects may ship separately or via different methods at our discretion.
9. Weather & Shipping Conditions
All shipments include appropriate insulation and protection.
We reserve the right to:

Require hub pickup
Failure to follow required delivery methods may void guarantee coverage.
10. Live Arrival Guarantee (LAG)
10.1 Requirements
Applies only when all conditions are met, including:

Correct shipping selection

Proper receipt of package
10.2 Reporting
Issues must be reported within 1 hour with clear documentation.
10.3 Resolution
Limited to one of the following:

Replacement
-
Store credit
-
Refund of animal cost only
Shipping is non-refundable.
10.4 Exclusions
LAG does not apply if:

Delivery instructions are not followed
-
Package is left unattended
-
Incorrect address is provided
-
Buyer fails to retrieve package

Carrier delays occur
-
Shipment is routed to hub and not picked up

Buyer expected home delivery from incompatible shipping option
10.5 Hub Pickup Responsibility
Packages must be picked up same day.
Failure voids guarantee.
10.6 Post-Arrival Responsibility
LAG applies only at time of arrival.
We are not responsible for:

Death after delivery window
-
Husbandry issues
-
Environmental conditions
Responsibility transfers fully after the reporting window.
11. Feeder Insect Guarantee
Applies only if entire shipment arrives deceased.
Partial losses are normal and not covered.
12. Processing Times
Non-live items: 3–10 business days (may vary).
Processing time is separate from shipping time.
13. Custom Orders
Custom items:

Are final sale once started

May not be canceled or modified
14. 3D Printed Products
PLA and PETG products:

May have natural imperfections

Are not heat resistant

Are for indoor use only
Use is at customer’s risk.
15. Returns & Refunds

16. Communication Responsibility
