Bioactive Substrate Blend is a nutrient rich soil, designed to form the foundation of a living enclosure.
Crafted from a balanced mix of top soil, compost, bark, tree fern, and crushed oak, this substrate is pre seeded with mycorrhizal fungi to support plant roots and beneficial microfauna. The result is a breathable biologically active base that encourages natural nutrient cycling and long term stability.
Unlike basic substrates, this blend is built to function as part of a complete ecosystem supporting everything from root growth to the breakdown processes that keep your enclosure healthy over time.
How to Use:
Add a the primary substrate layer in your enclosure (typically 2-4 inches deep). Pair with a drainage layer below and leaf litter above for a complete bioactive system. Keep slightly moist to support biological activity.
